TearsEyes hot and burning
sting with the pain of sharp tears
tearing through the thin membrane
Of my inky pupils. My eyelashes like a blanket
"Oh please, cover me!"
I scream -
"It hurts too much, and I can't take the pain!"
Flushed face
hot as fire
red as a drop of blood on a rose smothered
against the sky.
It's like being
smothered
against glass
No breath. Cannot gasp. The air did not kiss me this time. All I see
Is a sad face in the mirror
crying for everything, crying for the lost.
And I can see
